The stunning Visitor Pavilion greets you before you explore 30 acres of beautiful gardens, including a conservatory full of tropical plants and orchids, a dry Piedmont Prairie, vibrant flower displays, sparkling fountains, walking trails and so much more! We love it here and go all the time! The Whitewater Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, is the largest outdoor center of its kind in the world. Featuring the world’s largest manmade whitewater river and 1,300 acres of protected woodlands along the Catawba River, the Center has become the home of the active outdoor lifestyle. There are a few casual food spots as well. Parking: $12/car Activities: free to explore the grounds and trails but other activities (zip lining, tree courses, etc) have an additional fee

At the top of the stairs to the Mint Museum, Mariposa is a chic restaurant and lounge with small and large shareables paired with great drinks. Bride's favorite dive bar - small but oh so full of character. The Thirsty Beaver is a favorite watering hole among Charlotte's locals, known for its friendly, casual atmosphere. They wouldn't sell their property so an apartment building built around this little brick box. Sunday Fundays are truly the best here, in case you want to keep the party going after the wedding!
