Flight

Flight Options

Italy has plenty of airports which you can fly into. Pisa is the closest however Bologna, and Florence are all within a two and a half hour drive. If you fancy exploring more of Italia; Rome, Milan and Venice are slightly further away however train links are excellent in Italy. Use Skyscanner to help find the best options to suit.

Hotel

Via Cesare Battisti, 7

7 Via Cesare Battisti, Ceserana, Toscana 55020, Italy

Our venue will host most of our guests in multiple apartments sharing a kitchen and bathroom with 1 or 2 other rooms. Unfortunately a couple of the beds will be sofa beds, if a sofa bed is going to cause an issue please let us know. We are asking for £200 per person to cover your accommodation stay for 4 nights from the 17th August - 21st August. If you would like to stay longer we can possibly arrange this. To reserve your accommodation please pay into the following account with your name as the reference so we can reserve a room: Francesca Webb 56098351 60-83-71 If you would prefer to stay offsite, feel free to look for alternative accommodation or let us know and we can support - We can help arrange transfers for the wedding night however a car would be necessary to attend the other events.

Rental Car

Car Options

We use Kayak to help compare car prices - just search with your airport and arrival/departure dates. Car hire is essential if you are hoping to explore as our venue is a converted Monastery in the mountains, if you are interested in car share or are a nervous driver then we can see if we can pair you up with anyone. Check the fine print of your car hire and make sure you have excess insurance, we use a yearly policy with cover wise to save paying the hire companies extortionate cost. You also need your driving licence and a credit card in the drivers name in order to hire. Driving in Italy is quite different to the UK with narrow lanes and steep roads, however road rage is much less. Don't be alarmed if people are overtaking you, this is just normal in day to day driving in Italy and they don't think anything of it. As the venue is high in the mountains there is a steep cliff to drive up to reach the village - if possible avoid driving to the venue for the first time at night.

Train

Train Travel

There is a small local train station called Fosciandora-Ceserana. It takes just over 1 hour from Pisa and costs roughly £6. This is a great option if you are not planning on leaving the accommodation at all and do not want to hire a car. The station is at the bottom of the mountain, so bring your hiking boots! (We will be asking volunteers with cars to do the 5 minute shuttle runs)
