FAQs

It wasn't an easy decision to keep our 2020 wedding date. During these uncertain times, we recognize that a lot of our guests may not be able to make our special day. We want you to know that we understand, you will be missed, and we look forward to celebrating with you at a later date! For those that are able to attend, we appreciate you and cannot wait to see you for the celebration of our marriage. We will have precautions put in place to make sure you feel safe and comfortable:
Question

Will there be space to social distance at the ceremony?

Answer

Yes - Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral is a huge church with a 2,000 person capacity so there will be ample room for people to sit with their family/group safely away from other guests.

Question

Will there be space to social distance at the reception?

Answer

Yes - Haywood Hall is an outdoor venue and we will have an open-air tent set up in the garden for the reception. For cocktail hour, guests are welcome to mingle all over the grounds and we will have cocktail tables spaced far apart.

Question

What if I only want to come to part of the celebration?

Answer

That is absolutely fine. Through the online RSVP, you will be able to confirm your attendance for all 3 activities that day: church ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner/reception. If you would feel most comfortable just attending the ceremony, we certainly understand.

Question

What about reception seating?

Answer

If you choose to stay for the dinner portion of the evening, we will aim to seat families and guests from the same social circle together at the reception.

Question

Sanitation plan?

Answer

Multiple hand sanitizer stations will be set up throughout the event space. The restrooms will be cleaned frequently throughout the night.

Question

Masks?

Answer

Masks are encouraged for times when social distancing can't be maintained and will be supplied.

Question

Anything else?

Answer

If there is anything else we can do to make you feel comfortable, please let us know.
