things to do

We’re so excited you’ll get to spend time in our fav city, Minneapolis. She’s been through a whole hell of a lot the last year, so, if you’re able, we encourage you to support small and local businesses while you’re here! (Starbucks can’t hold a candle to Dogwood IFYKYK 💁🏻‍♀️) Obviously we love to eat and drink. A lot. So, many of our favorite spots (and thus, most of our recs) revolve around good food, good coffee, good cocktails, and cool places to savor all that good stuff. Enjoyyy!
Dogwood Coffee

Dogwood Coffee

3 locations across the Twin Cities. All locations have vibrant, artsy interiors. Cold brews are coffee snob (Jake) approved and oat milk lattes are basic bitch (Katie) approved!

Mill City Farmers Market (Saturday only!)

The crowd is always cool, the cocktails are always killer, and the fried chicken sammys are always, ALWAYS tasty. Jake dreams about ‘em. (Seriously. He does.)

Bde Maka Ska + Pimento on the Lake

Bde Maka Ska + Pimento on the Lake

3000 E Bde Maka Ska Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55408

Do the classic 3-mile loop around Bde Maka Ska . . . walk it, jog it, bike it, stroller it, no wrong answers. Take in the sailboats, the skyline, the people-watching. Then make a very good decision and head to Pimento on the Lake for jerk chicken and fried plantains. You’re welcome.

Seward Coop

Seward Coop

2823 E Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406

Is this a grocery store? Yes. Is it where we have regular date mornings? Also yes. Is it one of our favorite places in the entire city? Hard yes. Seward has a cafe counter and hot bar in the back and plenty of seating. Great spot for grown ups and littles!
