Things To Do

Aside from our wedding celebration, South Haven MI is a destination all on its own! From the beaches to the lakeshore bars and restaurants, there is always something to do. Below are some of the places we enjoy going and hope you do too.

Clementine's

500 Phoenix Street, South Haven, MI 49090

Clementines is a local favorite for brunch or lunch. The onion ring tower is famous from here to Chicago.

Captain Lou's

278 Dyckman Avenue, South Haven, MI 49090

Captain Lou's holds a special place in our hearts. Operated by our dear friends from South haven to Kalamazoo, this is our favorite hands down. There's nothing like sitting on the Black River enjoying a Rum Runner watching the boats come in and out.

Michigan Maritime Museum

260 Dyckman Avenue, South Haven, MI 49090
, (269)637-8078

The Michigan Maritime museum has an array of boat outing you can enjoy from sunset sails on a private charter to Friends Good Will, a 1810 replica top sail sloop, or pirate ship as the kids call it!

South Beach

60 Water Street, South Haven, MI 49090

South Beach is a great spot to enjoy a walk on stroll on the pier, or enjoy the beach and water. It is a couple minute walk from downtown and BRT, Black River Tavern. You can enjoy the ships and boats coming in off the water and relax next to Lake Michigan.

Lake Arvesta Farms & Arvesta Sports Complex

06464 Arvesta Drive, South Haven, MI 49090

Lake Arvesta is a water sports complex just 3 miles from our house and wedding venue. They have disc golf, pickle ball indoor and outdoor, putt putt, and water floats and sports for the kids. They have a full bar and menu and is always a great day for the family, or just for a quick meal. Kids can observe the goat island! And yes, that is a small island on the water park where a family of goats live.
