Eats
Here's some of our favorite Malibu dining spots - NOBU, Duke's Barefoot Bar, Moonshadows, Malibu Farm Pier Cafe (has the best view!) and at our venue (Calamigos Guest Ranch) is chic The Malibu Cafe... just to name a few! For some causal dining, in Westlake Village (and near the hotel) we recommend Mendocino Farms, Pitfire Artisan Pizza and of course a West Coast staple.... In-N-Out Burger
Beaches
If you have the time, we recommend taking a trip to the beach for the day and/or to catch a sunset. Local favorites - Zuma beach for day and El Matador State Beach to catch a sunset (the location of our engagement photos!)
The Sunset Restaurant
We recently discovered this hidden gem and was blown away by the view, service and food. It's a beautiful 25-30 minute drive from the Hyatt Westlake through the canyons and along the coast. You can make a reservation via OpenTable. PS: The lobster tacos were divine!
The Stonehaus
Down the road from the Hyatt Westlake is a beautiful restaurant and vineyard located at the Westlake Village Inn. Enjoy breakfast, coffee, lunch, dinner, wine tasting + more!
Los Leones Canyon Hike
A fairly easy hike that ends with a great view of the Pacific Ocean
The Getty Villa
The Getty Villa is an educational center and museum dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. You have to book tour tickets in advance, but admission is free!
Wine Tasting
Malibu is home to many amazing vineyards including Summer Somewhere Wines, Malibu Wine Safari, Rosenthal Tasting Room, Malibu Family Wines, Cornell Winery, SIP Malibu, and Malibu Wines
