HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT DETAILS TO CONSIDER WHILE PLANNING YOUR TRIP OUT HERE

Driving to Eureka

Eureka is VERY remote. When we say it's on the loneliest road, we mean it. Step #1: Download your map. The service is spotty on the way, and non existent at times Step #2: Check your tires, oil, and gas. There are services along the way, but few and far between. You could get in a tough situation easily. Step #3: Don't swerve for bunnies. Keep scanning for wildlife on the road. It's open range out there. It's pretty active, especially as dusk approaches. Step #4: Bring snacks and water. Download your music and podcasts. Step #5: Be cautious of speed limits, especially approaching towns. The police don't have anything better to do. I mean, you can go fast... just beware, and drive safely. Step #6: Leave your headlights on while driving.

Party Attire

WEDDING SEPT 20 (if you are part of small family/friends RSVP): Western wedding formal OPERA HOUSE SEPT 20: Western wedding chic + party! Anything goes, really. LOVE FEST SEPT 21: It's a festival! Bring your dancin' boots. Self expression emphasized at it's loudest. The weather is pretty unpredictable out there. Bring sun screen! It can be in the 70s and sunny during the day, and in the 40s at night. It's the same elevation as Lake Tahoe, so it gets cold. Shit, it could even snow, any month of the year. Keep your eye on the forecast right up until you leave. Furs welcome. Jackets encouraged. Cowboy hats. Denim is on point. Bring layers! Gloves, beanies, hand warmers... Bring LIGHTS for night time. We have a section for games, so you might want to bring some sporty stuff. AND A YOGA MAT! We have yoga at 11am on Saturday.

Food

SEPT 20 OPERA HOUSE: There will be a taco bar provided! Chicken, carnitas, veggies. There's enough for everyone! SEPT 21 LOVE FEST FOOD: There is a food truck on site serving lunch at noon and dinner at 5pm. It's a delicious menu, and we've tried to keep options for all preferences, vegetarian, gluten free, etc. Gina with the food truck prefers cash. Cash is king all weekend. But they can accept card. I'd plan to eat some of this stuff, it's going to be good. CAMPING: There is a Raines Market a mile down the road. It's an impressive store! There's plenty of food/snacks/ice there. Feel free to keep your campsite stocked. BREAKFAST: You're on your own for breakfast Sep 20/21. There are a few places in town to grab stuff. MORNING SEPTEMBER 22nd: We are having a big breakfast cookout at the fairgrounds.

DRINKS

SEPT 20 OPERA HOUSE: There will be a bar with cocktails, beer on tap, wine. Complimentary, but tip the bartender! SEPT 21 LOVE FEST: Gina's food truck will have non-alcoholic options available, lemonade, soda, etc. We will have water stations on-site filled all day and night. SEPT 21 LOVE FEST BOOZE: BRING YOUR OWN REUSABLE CUP! There is going to be BAD ASS bar built out of an airstream provided by our insanely talented and gregarious alcohol engineer, Lucas Huff. There will be batched cocktails and beer on tap. This is also complimentary. RAINES MARKET: They have a big beer cooler. They have a big wine and booze selection. CAMPING: BYOB. Keep it stocked!

CAMPING

FAIRGROUNDS: We have two campsites set aside, Rebel Camping (closest to the party), and Yeti Camping (a little further away and quieter). There's no camping fee. The fairgrounds gates will be open as early as Thursday (if you are available to help set up). Please stake your camp zone, but try to be compact so there's room for everyone. All camp set ups are welcome: tents, camper trucks, RVs, car camping. I would also plan to pack up and lock your belongings when you're not physically at the campgrounds. The gates will be open, and who knows... BATHROOMS: We have 10 porta-potties located near the campsites and throughout the grounds. There is also a permanent bathroom in the barn on-site. Don't pee on the ground! SHOWERS: There are no showers! You're roughin' it, figure it out! FIRES: No wood fires! All fire pits must be propane. DRIVING ON THE CAMPGROUNDS: There will be clearly marked roads to drive on. Please don't drive anywhere besides the dedicated roads.

DAY PARKING

If you're staying at the hotels, you can drive to the campground. We have day parking set aside. Don't drive home if you've been drinking. It's tempting because it's so close to the hotels, but the Sheriffs won't stand for that shit.

SHUTTLE

We're working on a shuttle back and forth from the hotels in the morning starting at 10:30am - 2pm. And then again at 10:30pm - 2am. We will try to clarify details of this by Love Fest weekend, and make sure it's all very apparent. We encourage carpooling. We demand sober driving.

It's happening same time as the Fox&Buck Love Fest. OWL CLUB SALOON & RESTAURANT A staple to both the Eureka community and any passerby on Highway 50, the Owl Club Bar and Steakhouse has been family opened and operated since 1981. URBAN COWBOY RESTAURANT American and Indian cuisine... lol strange combo, but it's good. EUREKA DEPOT COFFEE SHOP Great coffee and pasties and super friendly staff. AFTERLIFE ANTIQUES AND ODDITIES This place has a lot of cool history to it and nice people working inside. It was well worth stopping here.
