Their story begins in early 2018, Matthew was out to dinner with friends and Christie was his waitress. After the group left, Christie noticed a phone number on one of the receipts. She took the gamble and texted it, unaware this would be the start to something magical. Since the first date they couldn’t get rid of each other. In just a few months they got their first dog Sadie and their first apartment together. A year later they bought their first house along with adding their 2nd dog Grizzly. A few months later a tiny kitten, later named Jameson, showed up and never left. In August of 2023, during a family vacation with Matthew’s parents, his brother and now sister-in-law, Matthew proposed to Christie on a glacier in Alaska surrounded by loved ones. Since then, they’ve continued to grow their family, adding another cat, Doug. They’ve overcome life’s difficulties such as Matthew’s Marine Corps career and their individual schooling. Their home is full of love, laughter, and animals and they can’t wait to see what this next chapter will bring them.
