We’re getting married!

We met during the fall of 2014 in Athens, GA. Mutual friends introduced us during a weekend involving Clemson vs. UGA football and a Nascar race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Our paths continued to cross over the next 6 months as football games, mountain weekends, coffee dates and a Valentines Day trip to Asheville, NC formed the foundation for a great friendship. May 2015 marked the beginning of our dating relationship and after 4 years we are tying the knot in Charlotte surrounded by all of our best friends and family that have encouraged us along the way. We cannot wait to walk down the aisle as the Fosters in August!

Everything was all set for a surprise engagement on September 14, 2018. Jay's parents were in town for a concert and the Starks plus other friends were planning to drive up from Atlanta. Unfortunately, hurricane Florence had other plans for the Charlotte area. The concert was re-scheduled and plans were postponed until October. Mary Catherine was planning on prepping for an afternoon get together at a friend's house while Jay was coordinating a bigger surprise. With the help of Will, Savannah, Lauren, Grace and Charlie, the group successfully setup the backyard to capture the big moment! Although the banner date remained 9/14 the Song of Solomon 3:4 verse still applies: 'I have found the one whom my soul loves'
