FAQs

The Wedding Website of Miranda Johnson and Foster Boom
Question

When should my guest party RSVP by?

Answer

We will need to know whom will be in attendance from your guest party by July 26th, 2026. Responding by this date is critical due to needing the final guest count for accurate accommodations (seating, food, etc.). We will be turning off the RSVP page at 12:00 am on July 27th, 2026.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you are 18+ then you have been given a plus one to attend the wedding. If you do not see "Guest" in your RSVP party, then you can not bring a plus one due to the venue's guest capacity limit. Please RSVP whether your guest is attending or not so we can ensure that they're accommodated for.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Children are welcome! Whether you'd like a date night with your partner or to bring your little ones for a night of dancing, the choice is yours. All we ask is that you watch and take responsibility of your children throughout the night. Please note that we are enforcing an age restriction of children under 5.

Question

Are the scheduled events taking place inside or outside?

Answer

The Ceremony will take place outside of the barn. There will be rows of benches with umbrella attachments for your convenience. We will also provide fans for guests in attendance. Cocktail Hour will take place both inside and outside of the barn. Outside of the barn, there are plenty of seating options located on the deck in the back or the patio in the front. There will be lawn games provided for guests to play while waiting. Inside of the barn, please be advised that final arrangements will be taking place; however, you can use this time to enjoy some appetizers, order a drink, and sign our photo frame with a message and your signature(s). The Reception will take place inside of the barn. The barn doors will be kept open and there will be fans as well. There are plenty of seating options on the deck and the patio if you'd like to step outside at any point during the night.

Question

Are pictures allowed during the Ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "Unplugged Ceremony". Although we are so grateful for your attendance and understand wanting to capture us become Husband and Wife, we kindly ask that there is no phone, camera, or camcorder use during the Ceremony. We would love for everyone in attendance to be in the moment with us as we take this next step in our lives together. We've hired a photographer to take pictures throughout the ceremony, and we promise that these photos will be shared with our guests when received after the event. During the Reception, you may take as many photos and videos as you want!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love for everyone to look their best! Please dress in cocktail attire-- button down shirts and sundresses are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. We just ask that ladies avoid wearing white out of respect.

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

As a gift to our guests to show appreciation for traveling to be with us on our big day, we have paid a great sum of money for an open bar during the Reception! However, after drinks expend that sum, the bar will transition to a cash bar for the rest of the night-- so make sure to have a form of payment with you just in case! The DJ will announce this transition for the guests.

Question

Guest Restrictions

Answer

The venue has placed certain guest restrictions that we are adhering to and enforcing. If any of the following restrictions are performed by a guest, said guest will be responsible in paying the venue's fine charged to the Bride and Groom for their actions. 1) Guests are allowed to smoke on the property as long as it takes place at one of the few designated smoking areas outside of the venue. 2) Guests are prohibitted in bringing their own alcohol on site of the venue's property. This includes going to one's vehicle to drink. You will be fined $500.
