8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
We will meet at Thompson’s Bookstore for a no-host cocktail party. This is a speakeasy and not a small Barnes and Noble. It is a three minute walk from the block hotels and right across the street from the wedding venue the next day. Our secret entrance is on the side of the building. There are stairs as well as elevator access. There is no password required for entry. Kristin and Michael are very excited to welcome you all to Fort Worth. Check out the "About Fort Worth" section for more information about the city the bride and groom love and are confident you will too. It's Texas, in the summer. Shorts or summer dresses are fine for this event. They are not as welcome at the ceremony or reception the following day. Kristin will haze you if you show up in shorts to our wedding, unless you’re JB Baca.
5:15 pm - 5:50 pm
Semi-Formal to Formal: It is an evening wedding, but it is also summer. Suits and cocktail dresses - you can wear a tux or a gown and look fabulous if that is your preference. The ceremony, cocktail reception and dinner will be indoors with ample air-conditioning and cold beverages.
If you plan on driving to downtown Fort Worth: We highly recommend you do not, especially if you plan to drink. Parking downtown is limited. There is a parking-lot located two blocks Northwest of the venue as well as valet parking at several of the hotels, including the Omni (if you pass the venue, on the one-way street, the Omni will be three blocks up and on your right and cost entirely too much for parking). Street parking is available on Saturdays, usually at no cost, but we recommend you observe all traffic signs - this is advice for every day, not just our wedding.
6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
After the ceremony, guests will enjoy a cocktail hour with light hors d'oeuvres followed by dinner, laughter, cake, dancing, etc. Allergy Notice: The dinner is buffet style. That said, if you have an allergy of great concern, please reach out to us so we can consult the caterer and provide you with information to make wise choices. Everyone else is welcome to make wise or foolish choices as they wish within the confines of normative human behavior.
