Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is no parking available at the Ceremony Space. There will be a shuttle from Grand Ely Lodge to Halfway before and after the ceremony. Please see 'Schedule' for more details.

Will I be too early if I take the 1pm Shuttle?

Answer

Nope! We encourage at least 50 of you to take the first shuttle (otherwise...you might be late). We will have our guest book, games, drinks, refeshments, hiking spots, 12 acres of historic property to explore and more! You won't be bored or thirsty.

Tell me more about Halfway

Answer

Halfway is a beautiful 12 acre historic site. There will be a handicap accessible bathroom (port-a-john) as well as an indoor bathroom. Also, some creepy basement bathroom and an outhouse for the adventurous types. If it rains please bring an umbrella. There are some indoor spaces but not all will have a view of the ceremony. Once the ceremoney is over, either the shuttle will leave early or there are a bunch of buildings to explore. Please come prepared for the awesome cool weather we will hopefully be having. The average temp is in the low 60s in Northern MN. We will have one building with heat if needed to warm up. It is outside in nature so the ground is uneven and perhaps there will be an animal or two. With all of that being said, we hope you enjoy this place and enjoy its rustic nature.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! They are some of the best dancers and always add in some joyful (sometimes not) exclamations!

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

Please do no bring your own alcohol to the reception. We will get fined if you are found with it.

Where is the Honeymoon?

Answer

We are planning a week in the Wisconsin Dells the week after the wedding!

What if I miss the Shuttle to the Ceremony?

Answer

If you miss both shuttles, the parking would be on the shoulder of Hwy 1 or the campground across the road, if the gate is open. It will be a walk to get from there to the ceremony spot.
