Jasper County Fairgrounds

This is the location we are getting married! The link below will take you to Google & give you the option for GPS directions. Natalie grew up spending time here every July being a 4-H kid - they didn't have farm animals but she showed her cat. She also participated in communications and clothing selection, and loved entering her projects in photography, visiual arts, food & nutrituon, and more. She never expected to get married at a place where she already had so many other memories, but that just makes it so much better!

Moo's BBQ

Awesome BBQ! Austin and Natalie love the Loin Ranger Burger, BBQ Nachos, Ribs, Cheese Balls, Jalapeno Cream Corn, Cheesy Pototoes... the list goes on & on.. There's not really anything bad!

The Cellar Peanut Pub Newton

Our newest favorite bar! Lots of options for everyone. Natalie loves the ciders and Bloody Mary's, Austin's all about the local to Iowa craft beers.

Gezellig Brewing Co

New local brewery, just down the way from The Cellar Peanut Pub. Most the time there is a food truck outside serving up goodies. Liquid hugs is their specialty!

Iowa’s Best Burger Café

Just off of the I-80 exit #173, this is one of the best local burger joints around. The "restaurant" is inside the gas station, but seriously great burgers, onion rings, cheese balls/sticks & RANCH!

Goldie's Ice Cream Shoppe

BEST Tenderloin in Iowa! 'Nuff said. But there are lots of other options too including ice cream.

Montana Mike's Steakhouse

Great restaurant. Natalie & Austin's favorite is the Campfire Shrimp appetizer.

Cardinal Corner

Local ice cream shop. Natalie loves the black raspberry soft serve frozen yogurt and Austin usually gets a peanut butter flurry.

Jersey Freeze

Just a hop, skip, and jump over to Monroe. Another local ice cream place people are willing to drive to all summer to get. They put PIE in a “flurry”!

La Rose Marie Bakery

This local bakery is where our wedding cake will be from, but you can get a cupcake & some coffee and hang out in the adoreable shop too.

Valle Drive In

We have the greatest drive-in movie theater! You can bring in your own food and snacks, and pick your "seats". Dogs are welcome too, Natalie and Austin took Karma once. Line up early if you want to get a good spot on Friday or Saturday night. Capitol 2 Theater

If your not into outdoor movies we do have an indoor spot too. They just renovated recently with awesome new seats. You can buy tickets online and pick your seats. Oh yeah, they have a pig named Joy as their mascot and she does tricks during little shows between movies!

Newton Arboretum & Botanical

Beautiful plants and flowers! We took some of our engagement photos here. Nice sidewalks for a stroll and picnic table areas too.

Westwood Golf Course

Fore Seasons Golf Practice

We mostly go here for fried food and drinks! Austin comes for the cheese balls (full basket and great price), Natalie likes a good bloody mary here too! Grab a bucket of balls and practice your swing too.

Oakland Acres Golf Club

Another golf couse a few miles away going East on Hwy 6 towards Grinnell. A really great bar to hang out at too.

Mariposa County Park

Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge

This is a local wildlife refuge with plenty of native wildlife and BISON ("Tatonka")!
