Flight
Guests arriving by air who don't care to see Seattle during their visit may find it more convenient to stay on the Kitsap Peninsula, which can be accessed south through Tacoma, over the Tacoma-Narrows Bridge, avoiding ferries.
Travel Note
Many visitors traveling from the Seattle area will find that taking the Edmonds/Kingston ferry is the quickest way to get to Port Gamble (if you are staying downtown, the Bainbridge Island ferry might also be a good choice). Ferries run infrequently, and it is not unusual, particularly on weekends, to not make it onto a ferry due to overcrowding. Plan your travel accordingly by viewing the Washington State ferry schedule online, and allowing for plenty of time to reach the venue. Alternatively, driving south through Tacoma and over the Tacoma-Narrows Bridge allows guests to reach the Kitsap Peninsula while avoiding ferries, but will extend a trip by an hour-and-a-half to two hours.
