Question
What is your current COVID protocol/what COVID precautions are you taking?
Answer
For the health and safety of our guests, including the mother of the bride who is immunocompromised with cancer, and as mandated by the City of Chicago, all attending guests must provide proof of COVID vaccination. We are asking each of our guests to send a copy of their vaccination card via email to hayleyformolo@gmail.com by July 19, 2022. We also encourage each of our guests to complete a COVID test prior to joining us for our wedding celebrations. We understand that the situation above may make your attendance of our wedding impossible. This deeply saddens us because we love you and will miss you, but as much as we want to start our marriage with you present, we want you to stay safe more.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Yes. Our welcome party dress code is dressy casual. Men should wear dark denim, chinos, or suit pants with a collared shirt. Women should wear a sundress, jumpsuit, skirt, or smart trousers. Our ceremony/reception dress code is formal. Ladies should wear formal cocktail dresses or gowns. Gentlemen should wear a suit and tie.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
While we love your little ones, we want to give you the night off! Our welcome party and wedding will be adults-only events. We are happy to refer you to local, vetted babysitting agencies to assist with childcare for the weekend. Please contact our wedding planner Lauren for more information (lauren@lkevents.com). We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

Can I bring a date?
Answer
If there is a plus one ("and Guest") listed on your invitation, then you are welcome to bring a date! If your invitation has only your name on it, we would prefer that just you attend.

We have hotel blocks set up at three hotels across the city. All hotel block information can be found under the “Travel & Accommodations” tab above on our wedding website.

How do I get to/from your Welcome Party and/or Wedding Venue?
Answer
For our Welcome Party, limited valet parking will be available at our venue, Theater on the Lake. No other transportation will be provided and guests are encouraged to utilize taxis/ride share services (Uber, Lyft) whenever possible. For our Wedding Ceremony & Reception, limited parking will be available at our venue, Morgan Manufacturing. We will also have a shuttle arranged for those staying at the Kinzie hotel. The shuttle will depart the Kinzie at 5:15 pm to head to our venue and will make return trips to the Kinzie after the Reception ends. Please meet in the lobby ready to depart no later than 5:15 pm. Lastly, to encourage safe transportation, we have created an Uber discount code for our guests to use to and from our wedding venue, Morgan Manufacturing. I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes, we want to be as accommodating as possible given our guests' dietary restrictions. For any questions or concerns, please contact our wedding planner Lauren directly (lauren@lkeventschicago.com).
