Welcome to our love story

It started as a complete disaster. Evan had planned out the perfect night for Emily and their friends and family. A few weeks before, he got together with everyone and made plans to propose at Yukon Christmas Lights. He bought the ring, set the time and date, and got the plan rolling. Everything was falling into place, until the night of. It started when everyone but Emily’s best friend and family didn’t show on time. Trying to meet up in the dark at a park that no one has ever been to is not the easiest thing in the world. Especially, when there are so many people there you can barely get through on the phone. Everyone was ready to go, but Emily did not want to leave until her people showed up. Long story short, there was tears, yelling and chaos. It was a true glimpse into their future. After much confusion and a little frustration, everyone made it to a meeting point. Once there, Evan asked Emily to take pictures. They got together on a bench, smiled, and Evan got down on one knee. All he could manage to choke out was, “I love you. Will you marry me?” Emily shook her head, and that was that. The deal was sealed with a kiss. To end the night perfectly, Evan turned to all their friends and family and said, “She knew about the whole thing.” And thus began the start of Emily and Evan’s life as an engaged couple.
