Sorry Bumble, they're not giving you credit for this one. Though they may have originally "matched" on Bumble, Kelsey proceeded to block Cody shortly thereafter. She had tried the dating app for a solid week or so, but had a lot going on in her life at this time and didn't have time for that nonsense. Cody, forever the optimist, assumed that the app had malfunctioned, and reached out via another social media avenue -- instagram. Thinking he was being clever, Kelsey entertained the continued conversation, and decided to put this guy to the test. She unloaded a rant for the ages of everything that was stressing her out that day. "If he didn't run before, this'll do the trick". Nope. Cody proceeded to break down her stresses into bite size pieces with helpful advice and the occasional Secretariat quote. He made her laugh when all she wanted to do was cry. She set off for her solo Europe trip (one of the things on the list of stresses), and they continued to talk throughout the trip. She was a little scared and very far from home, but Cody made her feel less alone. The very next day after she got back, Cody and Kelsey had their first date at a local brewery. They sat at a picnic table talking comfortably for three hours straight that afternoon, and here they are, getting married 3 years later.
