At over 34,000 acres, Rincón de la Vieja has room for two volcanoes, 32 rivers and streams, and an incredible variety of flora and fauna. A number of activities can be enjoyed at the park such as hiking, enjoying hot springs, swimming, enjoying waterfalls, picnicking, and camping.
The park's heavenly blue river, waterfalls and lagoons are among the most spectacular natural phenomena in Costa Rica; as a result, the park is known to locals simply as Río Celeste (though it's officially named after the soaring 1916m Volcán Tenorio).
Rio Celeste waterfall is a naturally occurring brilliant turquoise waterfall within Tenorio Volcano National Park. It is a roughly two hour hike each way to reach Rio Celeste Waterfall.
Ziplining is one of the best things to do in Guanacaste and it is a must on your visit to Costa Rica. A few ziplining tours are Guachipelin in Rincon de la Vieja, Diamante Eco Adventure Park, and Black Stallion in Tamarindo.
