Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

SURPRISE — we have invited you to our beach wedding—hello vacation, right?! For our special day, we request wearing beach formal attire. Please be aware that it will be rainy season in Costa Rica, but we've got you covered! Guide for beach formal wedding attire: https://destinationweddingdetails.com/beach-wedding-attire-tips.html

Question

Can I bring a date or a plus one?

Answer

As much as we would love everyone to join, our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We would only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation and online RSVP. Please respect the decision so that we can keep the celebration as intimate as possible!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Your kids are welcome to attend the Welcome Dinner we will be hosting on Tuesday, July 23rd at Tamarindo Diría Hotel. Although we love your kids, we want our Wedding Day to also be your night off. We kindly request an adult wedding only for our special day. Thank you for understanding :)

Question

How can I add my child to my hotel reservation?

Answer

Although we requested an adult only wedding, your children can absolutely come with you on your trip to Costa Rica. For those staying at Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort, please reserve your block with the number of adults staying in your room. If you decide to bring your children along, please e-mail groups1@grupodiria.com in order to add them to your hotel reservation.

Question

Is there a company I can use to shuttle to and from the airport?

Answer

We are using Autotransportes SOLISA to shuttle to and from the hotel and the wedding venue. They are available for transport to and from the airport if needed as well. The best way to contact them for additional airport shuttle reservations and pricing is via e-mail: mercadeo@solisa.net. If you decide to reach out, please feel free to identify as your name and “Evento Natasha Rodriguez”. Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort also offers hotel transport. More information is given when you book your reservation.

Question

Is the wedding and reception at the hotel?

Answer

No, our wedding day will be off site at a venue. Transportation will be provided to those staying at Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Transportation will only be provided to the guest who will be staying at the Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort. More information on times to be provided. If you choose to stay at different hotel/Airbnb, we recommended reaching out for shuttle/taxi availability.

Question

Is there a time difference in Costa Rica?

Answer

There is a time difference between the US and Costa Rica. In July of 2024, Costa Rica will be 2-hours behind Eastern Standard Time.

Question

How long should I plan my trip for?

Answer

The wedding ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24, 2024. We recommend to arrive at least a day before. Since we are traveling overseas, why not make a vacation out of it? How long you choose to stay is up to your discretion!

Question

What currency is used in Costa Rica?

Answer

Costa Rica's main currency is Colones. Although most places do accept payment in US Dollars, our event planner has recommended to exchange currency if possible. Currency exchange is available at the airport, or any local bank.
