FAQs

If you have any additional questions that aren't listed below, we will be happy to answer them. Just send us an email at jennifermichelleharris@gmail.com or rjgilly@gmail.com.
Question

Three month engagement...why so quick?

Answer

No, Jen is NOT pregnant. We got lucky that Empire Mine had an opening this year and rather than take our chances on securing a date for 2020 we decided to go for it!

Question

Do we need overnight accommodations?

Answer

Empire Mine is an easy one-hour drive from Sacramento, but if you want to make a mini vacation out of our wedding we encourage it! We will be staying in nearby Nevada City Thursday through Sunday and would love to spend time with you outside the chaos of our wedding day!

Question

Can I explore Empire Mine State Park during the wedding?

Answer

During our wedding, state park rangers ask that you stay in the designated ceremony and reception areas. However, as our wedding guests, you have free entry to the park all weekend. We encourage you to visit during their usual hours of 10:00 am to 5:00 pm to explore the expansive gardens, trails, historic buildings, and tours.

Question

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

Enter your name into the RSVP section of our website to see who is included in your invite. However, if you are in a serious relationship and your significant other is not listed, please feel free to contact us so we can consider including them in the celebration.

Question

Can my kids come?

Answer

We've decided to not include young children at the wedding. We hope that our guests will understand and respect our decision. However, children will be welcome at our post-wedding brunch on Saturday.
