Wedding Ceremony & Reception

5:30 pm

Garden Attire: Examples include sundresses, floral prints, and suits or slacks in lighter hues. Fun hats optional.

Both our ceremony and reception will be outdoors in the August heat, so please plan accordingly. The ceremony will also be on grass so ladies be aware heels will be challenging. We have exclusive use of the park beginning at 5:00 pm, with the ceremony starting at 5:30 pm. If you would like to explore all areas of the park we recommend arriving before 5:00 pm when it is still open to visitors.

Brunch on the River

11:00 am - 4:00 pm

The brunch is casual, t-shirts and shorts are encouraged. The location will be very sunny so bring hats and sunscreen. The rental is on the middle fork of the Yuba River with a nice swimming hole. Bring bathing suits, towels and river shoes if you want to take a dip in the water.

You are welcome to come by anytime between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. The food and the newlyweds probably won't arrive until noon. Parking is limited so try and carpool if possible. The owner has graciously allowed us to host the brunch at his cabin. Please help us keep his house clean, especially after swimming. Directions: 1. Coming from the Bay Area or points south, head toward Auburn on hi-way 80 and take the hi-way 49 exit toward Grass Valley. As you get thru the Grass Valley Nevada City area make sure to turn left on hi-way 49 toward North San Juan/ Downieville. The Drunken Miners Road exit is about two miles past North San Juan on the left, just before the Middle Fork of the Yuba River bridge. Look for Mr. & Mrs. balloons and poster sign on the left. The turn is almost a u-turn onto a small road. If you get to the bridge you went a little too far, just turn around and it is the first little road on the right.
