Question

What are the closest airports?

Answer

The closest airports to the Brookings/Gold Beach area are Medford, Oregon, and Crescent City, California, both about a 3-hour drive away. If you're flying into Portland, Oregon, it's approximately an 8-hour drive to the destination.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is Cocktail Attire, but keep in mind we’ll be on the Southern Oregon Coast in mid-October, where the weather can be unpredictable. Daytime temps are usually in the 50s-60°F range, with lows in the 40s. Fall weather here is a mix of sunshine, clouds, and rain. By late October, it’s cooler, with more frequent rain, clouds, and fog—classic Oregon Coast vibes. Here’s what we recommend to stay comfortable and stylish: Waterproof boots are a must! You’ll be walking on the beach, so make sure your footwear can handle sand, water, and rain. A waterproof rain shell or insulated jacket with a hood A heavier coat (or layers under a lighter jacket) A beanie or scarf for windy beach days Hand warmers to keep your fingers toasty Extra socks and undies in case you get wet An umbrella Ladies: A shawl, fancy cardigan, or cute jacket to go with your outfit Optional: Hiking boots if you’re planning any exploring Be prepared for the elements, and you’ll be cozy and ready to enjoy the day, rain or shine!

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

We’re thrilled to share that dinner will be catered by a family-owned Mexican restaurant. Supporting small family businesses is important to us, and we’re so excited for you to enjoy their delicious food! Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we’ll have a small dessert table with a variety of treats for everyone to enjoy. Yes, we’ll be serving alcohol! We just ask that you drink responsibly and stay safe. The ocean is close by, and there are some cliffs in the area. We’re sharing this because we love you all and want everyone to have an amazing time while being mindful and respectful. So, let’s eat, drink, and celebrate together—safely and joyfully!
