ATTENTION: We have unfortunately had to change venues to wildfires. We will now be getting married at Winters Creek Lodge in Incline Village. We apologize for the last minute change. New hotel recommendations are listed in our Lake Tahoe Lodging section.

Questions?

We understand the majority of our guests will be coming from out of state to celebrate with us, and we're thankful to those who are willing to make the trip to be here! Hopefully these FAQs will help make planning your trip a little easier.
Question

What COVID-19 precautions will be taken for the wedding?

Answer

We are adhering to federal and state regulations under the laws of NEVADA. Our venue is asking guests to wear masks while indoors, but outdoors masks are not required. We, of course, encourage everyone to receive their COVID vaccine before traveling.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We want our guests to be comfortable; be able to dance and have fun while staying warm at the same time! Our venue is partially indoor and outdoor, with the average temperatures dropping into the 40's on most evenings in September. Bottom line: semi formal, but we recommend bringing a jacket or wearing layers that will keep you warm.

Question

Will we be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be partially indoor/outdoor.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Winters Creek Lodge has a large sign out on the main road it is off of, so finding the driveway up the mountain to the lodge should be easy. From there, follow the drive up the mountain until you enter a large parking lot. The lodge will be located on the left, with a staircase leading up to the ceremony deck.

Question

Whats the deal with food and drinks?

Answer

Don't worry, there will be food and drinks provided at the reception! Our food will be served buffet style, and arrangements are being made for bar service that will keep everyone happy (cheers!).

Question

Are kids/plus ones invited?

Answer

Absolutely, the more the merrier! If you intend on bringing a plus one and/or your children, please indicate so on your RSVP when the time comes. As a general reminder, there will be alcohol at the reception, if this influences your decision either way.

Question

How many days should I plan to spend here?

Answer

Ideally, we would recommend our guests come for at least three days (or two nights). There is so much to see and do while visiting Lake Tahoe, we would hate for our guests to only come for the wedding. Stay awhile if you can, and explore the beauty and excitement that Lake Tahoe and Reno have to offer!

Question

What are you wanting for gifts?

Answer

You can view our registry for the specifics, but we are thankful for any gifts or money that you feel inclined to give to us. Thank you so much in advance!

Question

What if I can't make it?

Answer

We understand that making it out to California isn't the easiest thing to do in these times. While you may not be able to attend, we would love hearing from you! A simple card or even a gift from our registry would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to contact us if you need our address.
