It is just under a two-hour drive to Vail from DIA. You can take a shuttle, get a private car service, or rent a car. Vail Village itself is car-free, so you'll have to park at your hotel. There is also a free public transport system, with buses that run frequently between East and West Vail, and Vail Village, which is where most of the accommodation and dining options are located.

Another option, If you don't want to drive yourself from the airport is to take the shuttle transfer offered by Epic Mountain Express. The company does multiple daily transfers in small vans between DIA and most Vail area hotels and resorts.
