James is the youngest of the four Flattery brothers. He graduated seminary school in June 2020. Jacob and Kelly are very grateful James is the one to preside over their wedding.
Adrienne Synos
Maid of Honor
Adrienne and Kelly met in 2006 while they were both attending the University of Kansas and living in the same apartment complex. Weekends spent dancing to Hilary Duff and Justin Bieber songs at Brothers, hanging out at our friend Tom’s pool (621 Club members for life!), eating wings at Jefferson's, or pretending to be bougie while drinking too sweet sangria at Henry's Upstairs gave way to adulthood. (We still eat all of the wings, though.) Adrienne is the one that encouraged Kelly to branch out to other ways of working out and got her into running. While she never got Kelly to run outside, she was crazy enough to agree to run a half marathon in Austin, TX with Jacob. Adrienne lives in Austin with her husband, Jeff.
Becca Deschenes

Becca is the little sister Kelly never had. Becca’s mother, Brenda, babysat Kelly from the age of 7 - 12. During that period, Becca was born. Kelly still remembers going to the OB appointments and hearing her heartbeat, and was at the hospital with her mom, Mary, the day she was born. Becca didn’t have to put up with Kelly and be her friend, but she did. (Like a sister, she also didn’t really have a choice!)
Beck Gianaris

Beck and Kelly met through her sister, Mary. Kelly and Beck love having dance parties (even though Kelly has ZERO ability to move her body) and playing old games like Dream Phone. Beck was the first person Kelly went to see after her first date with Jacob, and is still typically the first person Kelly, and now Jacob, goes to when something good or bad happens. We joke that she is our therapist, but she really has been a true asset to our relationship, and an amazing friend to both of us. She could be standing on either side of the bridal party!
Mary Gianaris

Mary and Kelly met through a mutual friend in 2015. They bonded over their love of travel and shared sense of humor. Mary and Kelly are known for their wacky experiences: from being served fresh funnel cakes at a bar to going on a scavenger hunt for specific types of rocks/gemstones on the Plaza (while using an ice bucket to collect said rocks/gemstones). There is never a dull moment around these two, and they never stop laughing.
Tony Hackney

Tony and Kelly met through a mutual friend. Their first real one-on-one time together was when they attended the 2013 Lady Gaga concert together. Kelly and Tony became pretty inseparable after that. Their favorite activities revolve around their love for pop music. They've attended multiple concerts (Taylor Swift being one, OBVIOUSLY) and are known for their karaoke skills. Tony and Kelly also love to travel together, having gone to Austin multiple times, Eureka Springs and Miami. Tony will forever be Kelly's first plus one.
Jennifer Woodford

Kelly and Jennifer met through her sister, Jillian, in 2012. Jen and Kelly bonded over their love of the east coast (Jen grew up in New Jersey), fashion, fiction thrillers and wine. Jen and Kelly were known for their outstanding Thursday evening dates at Blue Moose, and didn’t need reservations to get into Manifesto. They enjoy saving each other from the weird situations one or the other find themselves in.
Delaney Ruiz
Flower Girl
Delaney’s mom, Brittany, and Kelly met in middle school and bonded over their love of photography. They stayed friends over the years, through all of Brittany’s cross-country moves and adventures. Like Kelly, Delaney is a huge karaoke lover, and is a fan of Britney Spears and Taylor Swift (Kelly needs to work on amplifying her love for TSwift, though)! Kelly and Jacob are so excited the Ruiz family (Brittany, Joffrey, Delaney and Lochlan) is back in Kansas from Hawaii. Here’s an extra Easter egg: Kelly went to F.I.T. in NYC with one of Delaney’s dad’s high school friends (from Hawaii!). It’s a small world after all!
Theo Nele
Ring Bearer
Theo’s dad, Lex, was Kelly’s neighbor when she lived in midtown Kansas City. When Kelly and Jacob first started dating, Lex was deployed in Israel, so when he returned, his first mission was to interrogate the new man his friend had started seeing. He also tried to intimidate Jacob by showing off his collection of knives and guns, but only ended up impressing him. Like Jacob, Theo is super into race cars! Kelly and Jacob have loved watching Theo grow.
Kyle Hutchings
Best Man
Jacob and Kyle met and became friends through their kickball league in 2009. Kyle and Jacob share a love of sports and love to banter over their opposing teams (Kyle is a KU fan) while also enjoying each other's company during the games. Kyle helped Jacob find his first home as well as his first home with Kelly (and hopefully it's their forever home because Kelly does not enjoy packing/unpacking!).
Kevin Clark

Kevin is Kelly's younger brother. Kevin and Kelly were pretty good friends growing up, and by that I mean Kevin would do whatever Kelly would tell him to do. Not much has changed today! Kevin and Jacob enjoy discussing video games and their gaming systems, which is a different language to Kelly.
John Flattery
Groomsman
John is Jacob's second youngest brother. When Thor was younger, he was quite the escape artist/bolter and John had a knack for being the one that opened the door and let him loose. He also had a strong ability to chase him down, whether on foot or by car, so he is considered the family's number one dog catcher. John and his wife Leanna live in Iowa with their son Keegan. Keegan is an avid baseball, basketball and soccer player.
Paul Flattery

Paul is Jacob's brother and is the second oldest of the four brothers. Jacob admires how Paul is able to fix just about anything around the house/car with little direction; he's a true Mr.-Fix-it. Paul and his wife Jenn just became first time parents to baby Grayson in July.
Ryan Schwarzenberger
Groomsman
Jacob and Ryan met at their gym where they were in classes specific to runners. They trained for races together and bonded over their love of dogs. Thor has spent many hours at BarK dog park with Ryan's two dogs, Mowgli and Nala.
Chad Horn

Chad is the little brother of one of Kelly's high school friends-turned college roommate. Kelly has watched Chad grow from the punk little brother (kidding, he was never THAT bad) to the mature, kind and successful man he is today. Jacob and Chad met while Jacob and Kelly were visiting San Diego (where Chad lives) in 2017.
Kevin Miller

Kevin and Kelly met through a mutual friend, but also happen to work at the same company. Jacob and Kevin became fast friends. Their alma maters are opposing teams, so during football season, they enjoy the friendly rivalry. They both enjoy giving Kelly grief about her alma mater (KU).
Sean Tierney

Sean is the little brother of one of Kelly's oldest friends from middle school. Sean and his sister, Jessica, were always a part of our crew. The night before Kelly flew off to New York City to begin her first semester at the Fashion Institute of Technology, all three siblings had a sleepover at the Clark household to send her off. Kelly has loved watching Sean become the wonderful man he is today.
Nick Connell

Kelly and Nick met in middle school when they were in the same communications class. They became close friends in high school and kept in touch through college while Nick attended Belmont University in Nashville, and while Kelly was in NYC and then Lawrence. After graduating, both returned to the Kansas City area where they became roommates as Nick's older brother went on assignment in South Africa for Black & Veatch. Kelly credits the Connell family for introducing her to the company she works for! Nick now lives in Brooklyn with his amazing Manx cat, Georgie (yes, G is nicer than Kitty).
Chris Horn

Chris and Kelly met in middle school but didn't become close friends until high school. They kept in touch while Kelly was in NYC and when she enrolled at KU, they became roommates and remained so until they both graduated in 2008. Chris and Kelly enjoyed attending all of the KU basketball and football games (and were lucky enough to see winning teams!), loved throwing themed parties, and invented catfishing before it was a thing (Deidra says sorry Tim Grimes!). Chris currently lives in Brooklyn with his boyfriend, Mark.
