I've had the privilege of meeting Asha in high school. We were in the same class, sat fairly close to each other and became inseparable rather quickly. She has been in my corner cheering me on and telling me to calm down for over 14 years. I'm beyond blessed for her willingness to be a listening ear for advise, my voice of reason, and a friend that is down for all things legal. I've been blessed to see her transition into an amazing mother and still leave time for me to call. She's creative, comforting, and the giver of great advice. This day could not be complete without her being by my side.

Nonso you set the perfect example of being the best brother to have. You have been my biggest source of pride as I have witnessed and watched you grow (I mean really grow... all 6 feet 5 inches of you) into one of the smartest, most remarkable men I know. Kenisha or "Iris" to some is by far one of the realest individuals I've ever known and am able to love. Our friendship began in middle school and it was with her that I took one of the biggest steps of my life; which included me moving to Arizona. It was there that I truly realized how much we were more than friends and more like sisters. Some of our experiences together even include the birth of my God Daughter Kassidy. Her consistency and support is unmatched and I am so happy to have her standing by my side.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brittany in middle school. The cousin of Kenisha who too was just as caring, supportive and fashionable. What I love most about Brittany is her consistency. She's never wavered in our friendship and I can always count on her support. From her phenomenal parenting skills to her ability to respond to random texts messages about healthcare (she's a nurse) Thank You B for always being there and being down; even after I left you in Mexico on the ledge.

Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church! Candace knows what that means :) I honestly don't remember not knowing Candace as our mothers shared a really special friendship. This friendship allowed us to become sisters at a really young age and for that I am forever grateful. From catching the bus to UW together almost daily during the summer to standing by her side at her own wedding; I am thankful that through it all I can still call Candace a friend. Her loyalty and hard work as a photographer extends far beyond my reach. I am forever thankful that she has committed to being apart of this special day.

Dana began as the school leader of my FIRST teaching job in Houston, TX. From a classroom teacher to an assistant center manager Dana and I's relationship transformed into one in which I truly cherish. She's had my back professionally and personally and has encouraged me to always follow my dreams. She consistently opened her home for Emeka and me to crash when wedding planning in Houston and even makes time for me to indulge in couch convos or happy hours. She's a great leader and an even greater friend.

I met Cynovia in 2012 where we both were brand new corps members in Teach for America. I knew I'd love her as she was spunky and had an amazing sense of style. Within a year; together with Cidney we became inseparable. So much so we moved in together and shared some of my most memorable adult experiences together. I had severe separation anxiety when we decided to transition to different experiences after TFA with her moving to Washington, DC and me remaining in Texas. She taught me the value of going after your dreams when she left and I am forever grateful for that lesson. Every person needs a level headed, organized, and practical friend. Cidney is that friend. We also met in 2012 as corps members in Teach for America and became close after picking up trash together at a local Houston park. All I remember beyond the trash is us being hot and sweaty. From living in the same apartment complex to becoming roommates in Houston I truly am inspired by Cid's heart as she is the founder of iFly Youth. A nonprofit organization that gives underserved girls the opportunity to travel internationally.
