Café Du Monde
The Original Cafe Du Monde Coffee Stand was established in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market. The Cafe is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It closes only on Christmas Day and on the day an occasional Hurricane passes too close to New Orleans. The Original Cafe Du Monde is a traditional coffee shop. Its menu consists of dark roasted Coffee and Chicory, Beignets, White and Chocolate Milk, and fresh squeezed Orange Juice. The coffee is served Black or Au Lait. Au Lait means that it is mixed half and half with hot milk. Beignets are square French -style doughnuts, lavishly covered with powdered sugar. In 1988 Iced Coffee was introduced to the cafe. Soft drinks also made their debut that year.

This delicious Italian bakery has been open since 1905. Taylor and Syd make sure to grab cannolis and gelato from here anytime they're in NOLA.
The Country Club
Don’t miss Drag Brunch at The Country Club every Saturday and Sunday! Space is extremely limited, and reservations are recommended. They accept reservations at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.

This is a shop Taylor and I have visited each time we have visited NOLA to purchase local art. Located in the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana, Bourbon Pride is the premier LGBT / Human Rights store in the state.
Dirty Coast
Locally owned store specializing in T-shirts, postcards, and other gifts with New Orleans themes. Taylor and I really enjoyed the locally made art and hilarious T-shirts!
Peaches Records
Music has been a huge part of Taylor and Sydney's relationship. A huge portion of their record collection is from this store.
Marie Laveau's House Of Voodoo
There's more to voodoo than pin cushions and dolls. Learn about the historical and spiritual significance of the religion"”and the woman who helped revive it in the city"”at this store that triples as a museum and shrine. You'll find a mix of kitschy souvenirs up front and a spiritual advisor in the back, who performs readings just by feeling your pressure points. Whether you're a believer or not, Marie Laveau's is a spot that's uniquely New Orleans.
