FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please come dressed in wedding-appropriate attire, but do feel free to dress nice, but also comfortable. Semi-formal to formal wear encouraged. Masks also preferred.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

Absolutely - the banquet hall is surrounded by free parking on all four sides.

Question

Will we need to travel from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

Only by foot down the grand lobby stairs and over to the Maple Reception Room. I promise it is less than a 1-minute walk and there will be signs.

Question

Are you accepting gifts?

Answer

Rex and I have lived in America together for about two years. We've had some time to fill up our little apartment. We do appreciate gifts, but they are not necessary. If you wish to support us, please consider giving a monetary gift to our "Wishing Well" by clicking on the "Registry" tab above, or feel free to bring a card and drop it in our physical "Wishing Well" at the reception. For small, but well-loved contributions, Rex really, REALLY enjoys collecting Pokemon cards from Target and Walmart for less than $5 a pack. Those can be dropped in the Wishing Well for him as well.

Question

What are you doing about COVID-19?

Answer

We do ask that our guests be vaccinated and boosted if possible, although we cannot enforce it. In cases where that is not possible, please be prepared to come wearing a mask as we want to remain safe and respectful of everyone's health. We will also be providing a few masks and will have hand sanitizer at the event as well.

Question

How will dinner be set up?

Answer

We plan to have dinner be family style so that guests can eat as much as is desired. There will be a soup, salad, vegetable, and starch available with a few meat selections.

Question

What if I have an allergy or dietary restrictions?

Answer

You can let us know on the RSVP page what your dietary restrictions are. While we will try our best to accommodate everyone's needs, we are limited to a few options provided by the venue and will need to choose what is best for the party.

Question

Can I recommend a song?

Answer

We are developing a playlist! If you have a song in your heart that would be appropriate for the evening, feel free to suggest the artist and song title on the RSVP page.

Question

What if I need to update an RSVP?

Answer

If you need to update the RSVP, please contact Brianna or Rex directly via phone, Facebook message, or email. If you reserved your spot, but need to change your RSVP after the April 15th, please understand that we will ask you to cover the cost of your seat as each seat and plate of food is very expensive and it would be tough for us to pay for an empty seat.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one or my child(ren)?

Answer

While we'd love to see your plus ones and kiddos, we do want to be cognizant of everyone's safety during the pandemic and thus limit the number of attendees as much as possible. Since we are having our event in the latter half of the day, it may also be difficult for young children to attend. For these reasons, we have decided to not allow plus ones (unless prior approval is given by the bride and groom) or children to the event. Please check your invitation address as most of your plus ones may have already been included. If it is absolutely imperative that your children attend with you, a few exceptions may be made depending on a number of factors.

Question

How long is the event?

Answer

In short, the event will take place from 5pm to 11pm. Please check the event details on the "Schedule" tab.

Question

Are you already married?

Answer

Yes, Rex and I tied the knot while in Korea in 2019. We planned to hold our ceremony in the states with family after we moved back here; however, plans were continuously pushed back because of the pandemic. So, now, we are striking while the iron is hot and most folks are vaccinated!

Question

What is your hashtag?

Answer

Our hashtag is #foreveryang since we are forever young and forever the Yangs. If you take photos during the event and intend to post them, please do use the hashtag on social media so that we can find the photos!

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

Absolutely. We encourage photography, however, please be cognizant of the hired Videographer's and Photographer's cameras so that your camera/phone do not block their view. During the ceremony, please remain seated and do not stand to take a photo so as to not block their camera and others' view. Don't forget to use the hashtag #foreveryang when you post any photos online to social media. Thank you!

Question

Need more info about the event venue...

Answer

Please review their website: https://www.dinolfosbanquetshomerglen.com/

Question

Are the rooms handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes! There is an elevator located down the hall left of the lobby entrance.

Question

Where do I go when I arrive at the venue?

Answer

We will display signs that will help direct you. At 5pm, the ceremony will begin inside the Willow Chapel on the 2nd floor. To find the Willow Chapel, head up the set of stairs to the right of the venue entrance and the Chapel will be the first room in front of the stairs. At 6pm, we will kick off the cocktail hour that leads into a reception and then dancing all in the Maple Room. To find the Maple room, head down the same stairs you took to get to the chapel. On your right, you will see the center reception room called the Walnut room. This is not our room! Our room, the Maple, is to the left of the Walnut room. Head to the next room on the left of the Walnut Room and you will find our space. If you are unable to locate our room, you can find and ask venue staff in the staff room to the right of the entrance.
