Question

What are COVID the travel protocols to Hawaii?

Answer

Domestic travelers must upload proof of vaccination OR have a negative result to avoid five day quarantine. Prior to your departure for Hawai‘i, if you are an adult (age 18 years or older) you will need to create an online user account and register with the State of Hawai‘i Safe Travels Hawai‘i program (website below). This applies only for domestic passengers from the U.S. and its Territories. Once you create your Safe Travels Hawai‘i account, you will next need to enter your traveler information and trip details on the program’s application form. Vaccinated travelers do not need to provide proof of negative COVID-19 test. Unvaccinated Travelers: All travelers wishing to bypass quarantine who are ages five and older and who choose not to participate in the vaccination exception program will be required to provide proof of negative COVID test no more than 72 hours before departure time. Visit https://travel.hawaii.gov/#/ to create an account an upload documentation.

Question

Do I need a Passport to travel to Hawaii?

Answer

No, Hawaii became a state of the United States of America on August 21, 1959. So, you can use whatever form of ID you use to travel anywhere in the US. Bon Voyage!

Question

What is the weather like in Maui during March?

Answer

Beautiful. The weather is pleasantly warm at the beaches with average daytime high temperatures ranging from about 78 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Nighttime low temperatures near the beaches range from around 63 to 66 degrees Fahrenheit on average. Hawaii’s ocean temperatures don’t fluctuate dramatically from month to month or season to season. You can swim in the ocean in Hawaii in March even though it is one of the cooler months. However, if you are planning to visit the Haleakala's summit, please be aware the temperatures drop drastically in the higher altitudes even on a tropical island. Pack accordingly.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Yesterday, just kidding. We kindly request you confirm your attendance before February 14, 2022, but really, it's as soon as possible. Destination weddings ya know, lots of coordination.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes, we recommend renting a car or coordinating with other guests to rent a vehicle. Maui is an island, and the average speed limit is between 25 to 45 mph with the maximum at 55 mph. It doesn't take a mathematician to realize it will take longer to get shorter distances than expected.

Question

Do I have to stay in the Room Block?

Answer

No, we understand the Wailea Beach Resort Marriott is expensive, and we recommend coordinating with others to explore options on AirBnb, VRBO, or other hotels around the area. We recommend staying within the Wailea area located on the South side of Maui which is where the wedding and events are held.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Black-Tie Optional: Tuxes and gowns are preferred, but not required. The ceremony and dinner will be outside on grass, so maybe rethink those stilettos.

Question

Will transportation be provided to the ceremony and sunset cruise?

Answer

Yes, transportation is provided to and from the wedding venue on 3/18 and sunset cruise on 3/17 for any and all guests. The pickup and drop off location is at the Wailea Beach Resort Marriott. You do not need to be staying at the resort to hitch a ride. So come jump on the bus and make it a party! Sunset Cruise Pick Up: March 17 at the Wailea Beach Resort Outdoor Lobby DEPARTS at 3pm Wedding Pick Up: March 18 at the Wailea Beach Resort Outdoor Lobby DEPARTS at 3:15pm Transportation will be provided to the marina from the resort. Please find Zack Morris (214-205-2599) who will be checking everyone onto the transportation. Please notify Zack if you will not be using the provided transportation.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, there is parking in the designated parking areas at the venue. For those wishing to use their own means of transportation to the venue, we encourage carpooling as parking is limited for 41 cars and their staff park in the same lot as guests. It's an island, so parking is limited everywhere. Save the environment and carpool or meet at the Wailea Beach Resort Marriott where we have transportation provided to and from the wedding.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes, see the Schedule and RSVP pages of this website.

Question

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

Answer

Well, since children can't enjoy the open bar, we have not included small children in the headcount for the wedding; however, you are more than welcome to bring your children to the beautiful and majestic island of Maui.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony and post on social media?

Answer

If you feel compelled to let the world know your having an amazing time at our wedding, feel free to do what ya gotta do for the Gram. We will have a photographer during the ceremony and part of the reception, so maybe just don't get in their way, you Influencer you!
