We’ll be taking over the Inn at Sunset Cliffs on Friday and Saturday, and it will also be the location of our wedding reception and after-party. The inn is within walking distance of our cliffside ceremony, making it an incredibly convenient and special place to stay. We would love to have as many of our family and friends here with us as possible! The Inn at Sunset Cliffs is a stunning oceanfront oasis perched along the iconic Sunset Cliffs. A charming café is just one block away, and the inn is less than a mile from Newport Avenue, home to great shops, restaurants, nightlife, and the beach. Limited onsite parking is available, with ample street parking nearby.

OB Hotel is located approximately 1 mile from our venue in Ocean Beach. Situated right on Newport Avenue and just one block from the beach, it’s surrounded by great restaurants, bars, and nightlife. If you’re looking to stay close to all the OB action and enjoy a lively, energetic atmosphere, this is a great option. Please note that this area is vibrant and bustling, so if you’re seeking peace and quiet, you may prefer one of the other nearby accommodations.

Recommended by the Inn at Sunset Cliffs, Humphreys Half Moon Inn is a tropical-inspired waterfront hotel located on Shelter Island along San Diego Bay. With scenic marina views and resort style amenities like a heated pool, waterfront dining, and live music, it’s a fun and relaxing place to unwind. Shelter Island sits on San Diego Bay and is about 6 miles (roughly a 10-15 minute drive) from the wedding venue. It is about 3 miles from San Diego International Airport (SAN), which is typically a 5–10 minute drive, depending on traffic.

Shelter Island area is peaceful, tucked away island on San Diego Bay. It is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from our venue in Ocean Beach and 15 minutes from the airport. While we haven't stayed there ourselves, it offers a variety of popular hotels and resorts close to the water, restaurants, and easy access to the rest of San Diego!
Travel Note
For our out-of-town guests, we recommend a few convenient hotels near Liberty Station. All are just minutes from the airport, Liberty Public Market, and Ocean Beach. Hampton Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites, and Courtyard by Marriott offer easy access to the best of the area. They are just a short walk to Liberty Public Market, about 1 mile (5-7 min drive) from San Diego International Airport, and 3-4 miles (~10-15 min) from Ocean Beach. We love Liberty Station Public Market, a lively hub for local food, drinks, and unique local vendors. Just across the street, Spanish Landing Park offers a scenic harbor stroll. Several nearby hotels also provide convenient airport shuttles, making it easy to relax and enjoy your stay.

Just steps from Lou Lou’s Jungle Room, this iconic hotel is also where we’ll be gathering for a casual Thursday evening pre-wedding event featuring live music with Carter performing in our officiant Dave Damiani’s No Vacancy Orchestra. The Lafayette shines with retro-chic, maximalist décor, lively lounge spaces, two restaurants, and a pool. Located near North Park, it’s about a 15-minute drive to Ocean Beach (without traffic), making it a fun and convenient option for Thursday night accommodations.
