Bonfire Burritos - Olde Town Arvada
The best breakfast burritos in town, Bonfire is a must-have during your visit. Darby recommends the Burro and Matt recommends the Chupacabra, both as Little Giants and with 50/50 heat.
The Bluegrass Lounge - Olde Town Arvada
One of Matt's favorite hang-outs in Olde Town Arvada. Enjoy a coffee and breakfast burrito during the day, or a pizza and Old Fashioned in the evening. They have a great patio and often host live musicians.
Marmalade Lounge - Olde Town Arvada
One of Darby's favorite places in Olde Town Arvada. Follow the neon tiger signs to the alley behind Clementine's Salon, where you'll find an indoor cocktail lounge with tropical vibes and delicious drinks.
Clear Creek Trail - Golden (15 min. drive)
One of Dood's favorite nature walk locations, this paved trail goes from downtown Golden through a beautiful canyon. No hiking shoes or altitude acclimation needed -- just come as you are. You can either park in downtown Golden and walk from there, or park at the Gateway Trailhead (Clear Creek Canyon Rd, Golden, CO 80403) right off the highway.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater (15 min. drive)
Red Rocks Amphitheater is an iconic live music venue in nearby Morrison, CO. We feel so lucky that The Avett Brothers are playing over the wedding weekend, a folk-rock band that share our North Carolina roots. Even if you don't catch a show, we recommend hiking the trails in this park to see the gorgeous red rock landscape.
Temaki Den (Downtown Denver)
If you're looking for a nice dinner spot, this sushi restaurant is amazing -- and also happens to be where we celebrated our engagement together. Don't miss out on the blue crab hand rolls!
