"Hey, I like your shoes they're pretty dope!" the compliment that started it all. In the fall of 2009 Olufemi laid eyes on Lauren while strolling the hallway of The Art Institute of Austin. An innocent compliment planted a seed that would months later grow into a friendship and later bloom into a relationship. After complimenting Lauren on her "pretty dope" shoes Olufemi didn't see Lauren for a academic quarter. The following quarter while walking into Career Development class Olufemi noticed he would share class with Lauren. "Mr. Best Dressed" decided to go sit in the back of the class next to Lauren as she wasn't a complete stranger. As a ice breaker the professor asked each student to write their name and hobbies on an index card and pass it to their neighbor. Olufemi will never forget the look of confusion on Lauren's face as she frowned her brows to attempt to understand how to pronounce his name. Before she could utter a word Olufemi laughs and tells her the pronunciation of his name and that most people can't pronounce it so she could call him O. Rewind back to when they first met Olufemi introduced himself as "Josh" his middle name creating the idea in Lauren's mind that he was a liar as everyone else knew him as O. Thankfully with the help of mutual friends it was all cleared up. Needless to say a few years past and approaching graduation the two became really close and decided to explore their friendship/relationship further. In May of 2012 the two became boyfriend and girlfriend. After graduation Lauren received news that she had received a job that would relocate her to the city of Houston, the home town of Olufemi. The journey of a relationship took it's toll on both Olufemi and Lauren, but 8 years later they stood the test of time. On April 28 Olufemi decided he didn't want Lauren to be his girlfriend, but that he wanted to make her his Wife. Which will lead us to December 2, 2017 #FollowMeHome17
