Flight
In order to get to Baton Rouge, you can either fly into Baton Rouge (BTR) or New Orleans (MSY). New Orleans often has cheaper options than Baton Rouge, but it is an hour away (and no trains for my EU people!). If you choose to fly into New Orleans, you can rent a car if you're over 25.
Flight
There are multiple options to fly into Germany. Depending on your plans, you may want to fly into the airport of your choosing and wander your way through Germany or Europe to the wedding — totally up to you! If you're looking for the closest airport to the wedding, that would be Zurich (Zürich flughafen) with trains from the airport to Friedrichshafen or Kressbronn!
Train
You can take trains to Friedrichshafen or Kressbronn am Bodensee from the the Zurich and Munich airport. I would recommend downloading the Deutsche Bahn (DB) app to see the trains available to you during your visit!
Rental Car
If you choose to rent a car in Europe, it should be fairly straight forward! Your US license should be valid for driving in Europe for the duration of your stay, but you can also get an International Driving Permit for $20 at AAA to be sure. Unless you're comfortable driving manual, make sure you ask for an automatic! Just remember — they drive on the same side of the road as us (this isn't England)! ;)
Travel Note
Hotel room blocks are not as popular in Germany. With that in mind, we've listed a few hotels in the area below with the distance to the venue, along with a general price rating. In Germany, it is also very common to rent holiday apartments instead of hotels (called "Ferienwohnung" in German)! So if you'd like to check out that option, we suggest checking out Booking.com, AirBNB, and even VRBO!

Travel Note
Since people will likely be staying in different places, we can't logistically offer transportation to and from the venue. However, there should be taxis in the area once the wedding is over ready to help get people back home!
