As we write this (mid-May, 2022) Guatemala has administered at least 17,289,566 doses of COVID vaccines so far. About 52.1% of the country’s population is vaccinated. Guatemala has implemented a four-tier traffic light system to classify individual municipalities based on local levels of COVID-19 infection rates and has imposed movement restrictions accordingly. The four tiers range from red, indicating the highest level of restrictions, to green, which indicates the lowest. Antigua's light is currently at GREEN. As of now, Guatemala requires a negative covid test or proof of vaccination to enter the country. The US currently requires a negative covid test 1 day before your return flight. If this is still the requirement we can help arrange your test. Often the lab can come to your hotel and Air Bnb.
