Luray Zoo A Rescue Zoo
Flor and i first went here with our family when we were in Luray for an event. It is a spectacular privately owned rescue zoo and it has so many different animals with intetersting storys. Sometimes youll find the owner wandering around giving lessons about the animals, talking about facts, or feeding them. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable. Perfect place to take the kids for the day. We make sure to visit everytime we are in Luray!
Luray Caverns
Luray caverns are a beautiful and lovely place to visit, its full of so many wonderful and spectacular things. We strongly recommend wearing comfortable shoes causes its a bit of walking but its friendly for kids and adults!
River's Bend Ranch
River's Bend Ranch offers a fantastic horseback riding opportunity. Its about 22 minutes from the luray/wediing venue area. I took flor one day to do it as a suprise gift and she fell in love with it. They are super friendly and nice, the staff teaches you the entire time of what to do. Its a lovely ride down by the shenandoah river and you even stop for a nice photo oppourtunity!
Lake Arrowhead Recreation Park
Lake Arrowhead offers a 34-acre lake with fishing, boating, canoe and kayak rentals, a white sand beach for swimming, and a concession stand. There are six picnic shelters with restroom facilities, a baseball field, playground areas, and two miles of marked hiking trails. Its a perfect area to take the family for a fun day to relax and do various things!
Luray Downtown Initiative Inc
Downtown Luray is a fantastic, quaint and quite little place to go spend the day! Its filled with tons of stuff like shopping, restaurants, brewerys and various other activities!
