Getting to Szigetmonostor from Szentendre

As many people will be staying in Szentendre (Flora's home town) either before or after the wedding, it will be necessary to make your way across to the island. You can travel by: 1. A small foot passenger ferry located in central Szentedre, it departs every 30-60 mins and costs very little. It takes 5 minutes to cross the river and leaves you close to the Rosinante (5 mins on foot). We will post the timetable here closer to the time. 2. A larger car and passenger ferry that is located further from the centre of Szentendre and departs and returns very frequently. It drops you off further from Rosinante (about a 5 minute drive) 3. A road bridge that crosses the river at Tahitotfalu, a nearby village. It will take just over 20 minutes to get between Rosinante and Szentendre by car via this bridge.

Your stay in Szentendre

Accommodation We’ve booked out Rosinante Inn exclusively for our guests on Friday and Saturday night, so we’ll have the entire place to ourselves. There is another wedding on Sunday, therefore, all guests will need to check-out by 10am. If you have asked us to, we have reserved a room for you and breakfast is included, so you do not need to do anything until you arrive at Rosinante where payment will be taken at check-in (we have a discounted rate for our guests). However, there are not quite enough rooms for all guests. Here are some alternative nearby accommodation options, if needed: Szigetmonostor Révészház - Apartments on the island a short walk from Rosinante Hotel Centrum Szentendre – A cosy hotel right in the heart of Szentendre, close to restaurants, cafés and the river. Bükkös Hotel & Spa – A boutique hotel in Szentendre with a wellness area and easy access to the ferry. (We know that some of our guests will be staying here for the rest of their time in Hungary) All of these are within a 10–15 minute drive or short ferry ride from Rosinante. There are also a few other hotels, as well as air BnBs in Szentendre. It would also be possible (but a little less convenient) to stay further afield in Budapest, if preferred.
