Things To Do

Szentendre is a small, colourful riverside town. It is full of cobbled streets, little galleries, churches, and cafés.
Some nice things to check out while you’re there:
The Main Square (Fő tér)
The heart of the town, surrounded by baroque buildings and great for photos.
Szentendre Open-Air Ethnographic Museum (Skanzen)
A bit outside the centre, but really worth it if you want to see traditional Hungarian village life.
Ferenczy Museum
Local art and history, small but interesting.
Margit Kovács Ceramic Collection
Unique handmade ceramics in a lovely setting.
The Danube promenade
Nice for a relaxed walk along the river.
Retro Design Center
A surprisingly cool museum full of socialist-era design, interiors, and everyday objects.
Some of our favourite restaurants and cafes:

Adria
Aranysárkány Vendéglő
Dorothea
