Question

Will we need to wear a face mask?

Answer

No...and yes ;-). *No: Gruene Estate is a completely open air/outdoor venue (church and reception). Therefore, Gruene Estate is not requiring you to wear face masks during the ceremony or reception. However, depending on your comfort level, you may choose to wear your own mask at any time (or we will we have masks available to you). There will also be hand sanitation stations throughout the property. *Yes: Hays Co. BBQ is serving dinner buffet style, and *IS REQUIRING* guests to wear face masks while in the food line. (We will have masks available to you, if you need one).

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We are asking that anyone under 18 not attend, primarily for safety reasons (there are live animals on the property). So, get that sitter booked for 10/9/20...or better yet, make it a weekend get away at Gruene!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

You betcha! We will have a bartender there serving wine, champagne, beer, and limited cocktails. (Sorry no straight spirits are allowed on the property-only mixers).

Whats for dinner?

Answer

Carlos' only request for the wedding- BBQ! There will also be appetizers provided, starting during cocktail hour. ***UPDATE: Face masks WILL be required while in the BBQ food line.***

Can I take pictures during your ceremony?

Answer

If you're like me, you love taking pictures! But we (and our photographer) are asking to PLEASE keep those cell phones tucked away during the ceremony. Feel free to take as many pictures as you want before and after the ceremony! In fact, we'd love for you to share your pictures with us after the wedding!

Whats the dress attire?

Answer

Anywhere between Casual and Cocktail. We will be outside all evening on an estate/ranch (think grass, gravel, fire pit, and longhorns- yes longhorns!). Gruene Estate is the perfect combination of rustic & elegant! Just dress comfortably and be ready to dance!

What’s the best way to get to the venue?

Answer

Address: 532 Rock St New Braunfels, TX 78130 *There will be signs guiding you to the back of the property’s parking lot (off of River Road). *We recommend car pooling or taking an Uber to get to Gruene Estate, (although you are more than welcome to bring your own vehicle), just be aware you will be unable to leave you car on the property over night.
