A short 30 minute drive away and you'll find yourself in a classic west coast beach town! Spend some time on the boardwalk, shopping around, lounging on the beach, or checking out the sea lions.

Big Basin Redwoods State Park

Although this park was an unfortunate victim of large wildfires a few years ago, wildlife is making its way back & a new visitor's center is on the way. There are still many gorgeous Redwoods you can check out here and lots of trails are opened again. If you're lucky you may spot some banana slugs! (We saw over a hundred during our rainy hike there last December!)
