Wedding Party

Lauren Fleming

Bride

Ryan Bachman

Groom

Robin Fleming

Maid of Honor

Robin burst into Lauren's life in 1993 as a screaming baby sister. The pudding eating toddler was vibrant and stubborn and always wanted to play barbies. Today she is a bada** Naval Officer and one of Lauren's biggest role models.

James Barrett

Best Man

“Hey, kid, can I copy your homework?” With that act of academic dishonesty began my friendship with Jim (of course seventh-grade-me obliged). Since that day, he’s been a great friend and partner-in-crime—from late-night treks up Dennis Hill, to poorly-planned trips, and a mutual (often painful) fandom of the Philadelphia Eagles. Today, Jim is a teacher (kind of ironic considering how we met) in Waltham, Massachusetts and lives in nearby Charlestown with his wife Elyssa.

Hannah Lo

Bridesmaid

Hannah and Lauren met in college at GCSU where they became house-mates and running buddies. They now live on opposite coasts of the country but that hasn't altered their friendship (or changed their shared love of Stargate).

Haley Bachman

Groomswoman

In 1991, I got one of my most memorable birthday gifts. Three days before my third birthday, baby Haley came home from the hospital. For the past twenty-seven years, she’s been a great, if sometimes grating, friend and sister—from playing with dolls and old Halloween decorations through enjoying the Jeff Goldblum-themed board games of today.

Abby Nerswick

Bridesmaid

Abby and Lauren met in Sunday School in 1994. They quickly became inseparable and spent their childhoods swimming, having slumber parties, and playing dress-up. Abby became Lauren's second sister and has remained such for 25+ years.

Henry Tirrell

Groomsman

From the Big Field of Botelle Elementary School to the wilds of Meekertown, Henry is one of the friends that I’ve known the longest. A fellow Norfolk native (although from the northern part of town), I first met Henry way back in preschool at Botelle—the old picture seen here was taken at sixth grade graduation. Today, Henry works at Big Elm Brewing in Sheffield, Mass. and lives in (north) Norfolk with his wife Robin.

Jason DiMauro

Groomsman

I first met Jay back in Mrs. Beauchene’s seventh grade study hall. The chance encounter of sitting together at the same table kicked off a friendship that’s included late-night Tobey Pond excursions, school trips (this picture is from an eighth-grade trip to Boston), bonfires, and tension over the Eagles-Giants rivalry. These days, Jay is a teacher at our alma mater, Northwestern Regional High School, and lives in Winsted, Connecticut with his partner Nicole.
