Venue Overview
Sandy Island is a rustic 66-acre Island in the heart of Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. Tizzy's family have been spending one week at Sandy every summer since 1955. The camp has deep meaning for her, and for the last couple of years Fleming has joined this five-generation family tradition.
Sandy Island is an unpolished experience. You and your party will enjoy the weekend in a private lakeside camp cabin. Most cabins do not have bathrooms, but central lavatories are located between 1-3 minutes walk from all cabins. Cabins have electricity, but no heat. You will be assigned a cabin with your immediate family, or with close friends.
Guests are encouraged to dress warm, choose footwear for rugged terrain (no narrow heels!), and plan for weather anywhere from 40 to 75 degrees. Once on island, it is very difficult to leave. So pack smartly!
October on Lake Winnipesaukee is peak foliage. You'll be rewarded for your rustic travel with stunning views and an unforgettable weekend!
