We met the modern way — Max saw Jess on her roommate’s Instagram story (shoutout to Grace!) and immediately asked about her. Classic agent behavior. He was very persistent, waiting patiently until Jess was single and finally convinced her to go on a date with him. Jess wasn’t looking for anything serious… but after their first date, she came home and told her roommates, “I’m in trouble.” On their second date, Max met all of Jess’s friends — and from that point on, they’ve been inseparable. At first, Jess was convinced this cute younger guy had to be love-bombing her — there was no way it could be real. But here we are. Max asked Jess to be his girlfriend right before her trip home to Puerto Rico. Determined to make a lasting impression, he even sent flowers to Jess and her mom (smart man). Soon after, Max had a family trip planned, which meant their first month together was spent mostly apart. Distance made the heart grow fonder, and when Jess went all the way to LAX to pick him up at the airport, he knew it was love. Since then, their relationship has been about loving each other deeply, pushing each other to grow, and facing everything as a team. As Max says in their engagement video: “She’s strong where I’m weak, and I’m strong where she’s weak.” (Jess would like to go on record and say she has no weaknesses.) Together, they’ve navigated job changes, launched a new business, traveled the world, and built a life filled with love and laughter along the way. One of the best decisions they ever made? Adopting Rory, their scruffy little mutt Max found on Instagram (just like her mom). She’s been the perfect addition to their family. After visiting Jess’s family, attending weddings, and even living in Puerto Rico for over a month this past year, the island has become such a meaningful part of their story. They can’t wait to share this place they love with all of you — and even more excited to get married there. Let the countdown to March 14, 2026 begin! 💛 Love, Rory
