Saturday of our wedding is the Savor September Wine and Beer Festival in Stone Harbor! 96th street will close down and be filled with winery and brewery tents, food trucks, and live music. The festival starts at 11am, so while the bride and groom will be busy getting ready, we hope you take a walk down and have a couple drinks to kick off the day!
One of our favorite parts of Stone Harbor is 96th street- this is the main strip with great restaurants, bars, and shopping!
Looking to get a walk in? The Point offers some pretty views and the opportunity to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. Follow the path way down the beach to find where the bay meets the ocean.
It's not a Lintner/Flanagan wedding without a cold beer or cocktail! Fred's Tavern is a bar/restaurant, beer distributor, and liquor store all wrapped into one. We'd highly recommend stopping in for a drink and some upscale pub food during your stay. Fun fact: the Flanagan grandparents were known to frequent Fred's way back when you could smoke in most bars and they laid hay on the ground. We promise the place is cleaner now!
Right around the corner from 96th street is the best breakfast sandwich and coffee stop! Order ahead or stop in. We'd recommend the #1 or the #7!
Smack dab in the middle of town, the Harbor Square Theater is great for a small-town movie experience. With the Burger Bar attached, enjoy lunch and a beverage in the theater while watching your movie! Both Al and I spent time seeing movies here as kids.
Either sitting down or getting margaritas to go, what's not to like about Buckets?? The restaurant/bar is cantina-themed and has a bay view that's gorgeous even in September.
Better known as the "Beach Bar" by Al and I, this outdoor bar attached to the Icona Avalon is perfect if you want to get your feet in the sand but don't want to go to the beach. Grab a drink and a fire pit to stay warm on a brisk September night!
While a little off the beaten path, one of our favorite haunts is the Lazy Bass. It's accessible by boat or car, and is food truck-based. You will not beat the views at this spot!
Slacktide is one of many breweries in Cape May County- this one is a favorite of ours. Enjoy delicious beer and cool merch in the brewery warehouse, or out on the back patio!
The Avalon Golf club is a perfect spot for all golf enthusiasts of any skill level!
This is the perfect spot for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner beer! Located less than a mile from our venue and local to a handful of other bars (Concord Cafe, The Sandbar Village, and the Icona Windrift), make your way to the area for a little bar hopping.
Al and I frequent the Windrift when we are at the beach for date nights! This restaurant has anything you're in the mood for, from pizza to sushi. Try out the bar on the Sunset Deck for a great view of the ocean with your dinner.
This mini golf course has been around as long as we can remember. Conveniently located off 96th street, the rooftop course allows great views of town and great choice if you're looking to kill some time!
Delicious wine, bottles to go, and charcuterie boards- need we say more??
Making it a long weekend? We highly recommend visiting Cape May to do some shopping and drinking! Washington Street Mall is a picturesque cobblestone strip of boutiques, restaurants, and ice cream parlors about 30 minutes from Stone Harbor. Especially in the fall, Cape May is an awesome place to have a relaxing afternoon.
