We first met in grade school and while always friendly, we both were too focused on goofing off (Josh) or being teacher's pet (Calli) to start a school-yard crush.

After high school we went our separate ways. (Josh went to Columbus and then Los Angeles, Calli went to Cleveland, Atlanta, and Detroit.) Over the years we kept in touch through social media but it wasn't until the pandemic that we were both in the right place at the right time to start something special. We're not going to lie, it was love at first date.

We got engaged at the historic Woodstock Inn during the city of Woodstock's famous Wassail Weekend. Surrounded by love and twinkle lights, Josh popped the question and Calli said, "yes." It was a perfect weekend in a quaint small town. We pet baby cows, adopted a snowy owl, and Josh sweet talked his way into a VIP lunch experience at Simon Pierce.
