During early stages of planning, we became very frustrated and discouraged searching for places and seeing prices. Trying to figure out guest lists and everything was so daunting and made the process horrible. I jokingly mentioned us eloping to my favorite place - Snow Canyon State Park in Utah, and Jordan simply looked at me and said, “let’s do it.” And the rest is history. We decided to do our intimate destination wedding in Utah with another celebration back here in Ohio.
Perfection :) very low humidity even in the heat. During mid-October, it is usually mid 70s to low 80s!
Our bridal party will be in warm shades, so we ask that guests steer away from pinks, oranges, browns, and tans if at all possible. The most important thing is everyone feels comfortable and confident, so prioritize that first! But, of course, no white :)
Rehearsal - Cute Casual Ceremony & Reception - Semi Formal. Something nice, like typical wedding attire. Preferably no jeans! If you’d like to bring comfy clothes or shoes for the reception / after party, feel free! Morning After Brunch - Come comfy! PJs are totally acceptable!
Our ceremony will be at Snow Canyon State Park & the reception at our Airbnb. Exact addresses will be listed on the formal invites & in the online RSVP!
We will be having an unplugged / phone free ceremony. We’ve hired an INCREDIBLE photographer who is traveling with us all the way from Toledo. Please respect our wishes as well as our photographer and enjoy the ceremony phone free!
Both will be outdoors!
We recommend that you arrive about a half hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
There is a parking lot right where we will be getting married! We will give all attendees the exact location of it closer to the event. We will have guests carpool there together, as the lot is not huge. Parking here is free!
We will be having an alcohol free wedding. Our reception venue has a strict no alcohol policy. We also are having a dry wedding out respect for our friends and family actively in recovery. We appreciate your understanding, and know the party will be just as amazing without alcoholic beverages!
Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #FirstClassFleitz so we can keep track of all of your pictures! But we do ask that no phones be used during our ceremony as we are paying our dear friend and photographer to capture our memories.
On the day of and during the weekend of the wedding, odds are that we will be very busy and won’t have our phones every second. If you have a question or need to contact someone, there will be a list of contact numbers given to everyone upon arrival in Utah!
