Our story began back in April 2014. It was the weekend of Easter, and Jackson was home from college. He and his friends had plans to go out for food and drinks that Saturday night. Ironically, so did my friends and I. We ended up going to the same place, not knowing that we had mutual friends in common. That night, Jackson introduced himself, and we talked for a little bit. He had to be up early the next morning, so he had to go, but before leaving, he asked if we could exchange numbers. Of course, my phone died before I could even save his number, so the next morning I finally charged my phone and saw I had a new message that read, "Hi, it's Jackson. I hope you got home safely. Happy Easter" aaaaand the rest is history.

Eight years later, Jackson decided to pop the question on Christmas morning in 2022. After exchanging gifts that morning, we knew we had to get going because we were having breakfast with my parents. As I'm putting on my boots to leave the house, Jackson is preparing for the big moment. He gets my attention by asking me to go to the living room and look under the tree because he forgot to give me one last gift. As I walked into the living room, there he was, down on one knee, holding a ring, and asking if I would marry him! I started crying and shouted, "Yes!" and we were engaged.   We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.   See you in September 2024!
