For you out of towners, Woodinville is about a 35 minute drive northeast of Seattle, near Redmond (home of Microsoft) and north of Bellevue. It is famously known for being the wine destination in immediate Seattle area. There are over 100 wineries. Many are tasting rooms of wineries located in Walla Walla, Chelan and other wine areas of WA. For those unfamiliar with the wine world, Washington State is a major region for US wines along with California and Oregon. If you are a wine person, we highly recommend experiencing the variety of WA wines. The warehouse district has close to 50 in walking distance of each other and it isn’t far from where we are having our reception. https://woodinvillewinecountry.com
This is the tricky part. We love you and your kiddos but due to the nature of having an evening wedding at a winery, we want you, the adults, to be able to come and fully enjoy the evening celebrating with us, having fun and catching up with friends. With the exception of a few of Amy’s immediate nephews, we kindly request making arrangements for your munchkins.
Of course, you could rent a car at the airport. There is also the light rail you can take from the airport straight to downtown Seattle, you’ll see the ticketing machines at any station. You could get a day pass on an ORCA card to use the bus system, which is pretty good in Seattle. Download the One Bus Away app and use with Google Maps. Unfortunately, heading to Woodinville is not as convenient with public transportation. If you don’t rent a car, you’re probably relying on Uber. Out of town guests that know each other may want to consider traveling at the same times and going in on transportation. Make it a reunion. :)
