Richmond will likely be the most accessible option, but there is also an airport in Newport News. Both airports are approximately a 45 minute drive from the historic area

If you want to make the experience even more historic, Williamsburg offers rooms in colonial houses for guests to stay in. All should be in the Historic Area and within walking distance of the wedding reception/venue

This is a beautiful venue along the James River. Please note, this venue is a 15 minute drive from the downtown Historic Area where all the wedding events will take place.
