FAQs

Question

What is the attire for all the events?

Answer

Our welcome drinks attire is cocktail but not too fancy, really the only rule is no jeans for men and women, slacks are totally fine. For the wedding and reception, we ask our guests to please wear black tie. Ladies, please think dresses/jumpsuits/etc.

Question

Should I arrive early for the wedding?

Answer

We are on a tight schedule given there is a candlelit concert at the church on Friday nights, so we would really appreciate if all our guests could get to the church before 4:30pm, we will try to be as prompt as possible!

Question

Will there be communion at the wedding?

Answer

While this will be a traditional Episcopal service, we have friends and family from a variety of faiths and religions, so there will not be communion at this service.

Question

Is there an afterparty after the wedding or an event scheduled for Saturday?

Answer

No and no! Please let us know if you plan to be around Saturday, we’d love to see anyone who is, but we totally get we’ve already asked a lot of everyone’s time and don’t want to take up any more of it if you need to head back home!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

At this time, only children of family are invited to the wedding. Please feel free to bring your children to the welcome drinks reception on Thursday if you are still planning to bring them, and please let us know if you need help finding babysitting accommodations for Friday night!

Question

Do I need to pick an entree option for the dinner?

Answer

The Williamsburg Inn does something called duo entrees where you are given two entrees on one plate, ours will likely be a cut beef and some sort of seafood dish already pre-selected. If you have any dietary restrictions please let us know when you RSVP so we can relay that to the Inn
