Question

What COVID-19 Precautions is the Venue Taking?

Answer

The Rutherford is operating in accordance with the advice of the state and federal governments and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Reduced Capacities: We have reduced our individual and overall room capacities to ensure comfortable social distancing, and increased floor space in order to maximize your guests’ experience. Whether you are hosting an intimate vow renewal for five guests, or even wedding for 170 guests, we are ready and able to safely provide an enchanting event. Please note that these are subject to change as we are continuously monitoring CDC and state guidelines and will adjust room capacities appropriately. Guest Screening: Signage will be placed at the entry points requesting guests NOT to enter if they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or have been asked to quarantine by a healthcare provider in the last 14 days.

Question

Answer

Masks: The Rutherford is strongly encouraging that all guests age 3 and up, who can wear a mask, do so while not stationary or seated. Masks will be provided. Staff and other vendors are required to wear masks and other protective PPE such as gloves, for the entirety of their shift as well. Food and Beverage Guidelines: Required for caterers to consider presenting menu items individually, when practicable, and/or utilize the plexiglass barriers. This means no self-service food stations/buffets are permitted. Social Distancing: Sneeze guards are projected to be installed at all bars to ensure adequate distance is maintained between team members and guests. Seated tables will be set at 6 feet apart from other tables, bars and food stations. Seating capacity for each table is 8 guests per table. Entertainment is permitted; band members must maintain distancing, even during performance.

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you! Let's admit it, with all of the amazing people in our lives you're bound to have a great time.

Question

What’s the Dress Code?

Answer

Cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.

Question

What's the cell phone/camera policy?

Answer

We would really appreciate you limit cell phone and camera use during the ceremony. We promise to share all the photos from our professional photographer!!

Question

Any Restaurant Suggestions?

Answer

You've come to the right place. Here are some of our favorites that are downtown and also have outdoor seating: Nose Dive This is where we had our first date! They have a great brunch too! Rick's Deli & Market More budget friendly option, but all of Rick Erwin's restaurants are great! Roost Connected to the Hyatt Regency, a delicious farm to table restaurant! Grill Marks This is where Sam worked before meeting me, and he always raves about their burgers! Jiana A little pricy, but hands down the best Italian-American cuisine downtown Trappe Door Again, a little pricy but very good Belgium food (no outdoor seating) Ink N Ivy Did someone mention a rooftop? Yup! An overall crowd pleaser! Here are some options that are outside of downtown: The Bohemian Cafe The Anchorage Topsoil (Vegan friendly) Fork and Plough Farmhouse Tacos Tandem Creperie Sidewall Pizza For other suggestions visit https://www.visitgreenvillesc.com/food-drink/!

Question

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we have not arranged a shuttle for guests. The venue is 2 miles from downtown Greenville and does have parking available on either side. It would also be a very short Uber or Lyft ride!
